Privacy Policy

How sahmrev collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and related services.

sahmrev (“we”, “us”) operates this website and the related admin tools used to manage project inquiries, product trials, and client accounts. This policy covers the public site and those operational tools.

When you send a project inquiry or request a product trial, we collect the email address you provide, the service or product you select, and any optional message. If we activate an account for you, we store account credentials and related status (for example trial or active). Technical logs may include IP address, browser type, and request metadata needed to run and secure the site.

Our products and our administration area show notifications in the app: what happened, when, and whether it was read. They are kept with the account, like the rest of its data. In our administration area, a person can also receive notifications on a phone. For each phone or browser where they turn this on, we store the push address and two keys that the browser gives us, a name for the device, when it was added and when it last received a notification. We use them only to deliver notifications. They are removed when the device gives up notifications, or when the person presses “Remove”. A notification passes through the push service of the browser’s maker, which sees only an encrypted message it cannot read. Nothing of this is sold or shared.

We count visits to this website ourselves, without cookies and without any outside analytics service. For each visit we record the day, the page, the language, what you did (for example opened a demo or sent a form), the website you came from (its domain only), and whether you use a phone, a tablet or a computer. To count a visitor once a day, we combine your network address and browser type with a code that changes every day, and keep only the result. Your address itself is never stored. That daily code exists only in the server’s memory, is never written down and is gone when the day ends, so no visit can be linked to another day. A browser that sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is not counted at all. We use these counts only to see which pages help visitors, and we keep them for 13 months. After that we keep only monthly totals.

The site remembers three choices you make, and nothing else. The language you choose yourself is kept in a cookie named sahmrev-lang for one year. It holds only the two-letter code of that language. Light or dark, when you choose it, is kept in your browser’s own storage under sahmrev-theme. The currency you choose on a price is kept the same way under sahmrev-zone. These two are never sent to us, and you can clear all three from your browser at any time. None of them identifies a person.

Our products, such as Commerce and Field, keep on your device what lets them work without a connection: the theme and language you chose, and work waiting to be sent, such as tickets from the till or a report being filled in. It stays on the device until it is sent to your company’s own workspace, or until the browser’s data for that product is cleared.

We use the information you submit to respond to inquiries, activate or manage trials and accounts, deliver hosting or related services you request, improve our site, and protect against abuse or unauthorized access.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with infrastructure providers that host this site and its database, strictly as needed to operate the service, or when required by law.

Field lets a technician record a voice draft instead of typing. Only when someone does this, and only if the company using Field has allowed it, the recording, the field names of the form and the answers already filled in are sent to an outside AI service, which turns the speech into text and proposes answers. The company can ask us for that service’s name and country. When the company has not allowed it, nothing leaves our server and the voice draft is not offered. The technician checks the draft and sends it. Nothing is sent to the client automatically. This feature is not available in the public demo.

Our products send emails: account emails such as invitations and password resets, and the documents and reminders a company sends to its own customers through them. We send them through an email sending service named in the list of our service providers. That service counts, for all emails together, how many were delivered and opened and how many links were followed. These totals are not tied to a person. The links in our emails pass through an address of ours (em.sahmrev.com) before opening the page. It keeps no copy of the messages, only a log of the recipient, the time and the delivery state, for one month. We keep our own log of sent emails for 90 days: the recipient, the kind of email and its state. After that we keep only the date, the kind of email and its state. That counting is anonymous: it cannot tell who opened an email.

Signing in to the staff admin area sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in. Signing in does not work without it. Opening the live demo of a product sets two cookies on that product’s own address, both kept for 12 hours: one keeps you signed in to the demo (sc_session for Commerce and for Distribution, whose demo runs in Commerce, and sf_session for Field) and one keeps the demo’s language (sc_demo_locale, sf_demo_locale). On sahmrev.com the only other cookie is sahmrev-lang, which keeps the language you chose (see below). We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

When someone opens a map in sahmrev Field or sahmrev Distribution, the map’s background images are loaded from a free public map service run by a non-profit community project. That service receives the network address of the device and the area of the map being viewed, with the usual technical details any web request carries (such as the browser type). It receives nothing else from us: no names, customers, jobs or visits. No map is loaded until a map is opened. We plan to serve the maps from our own servers later.

Inquiry and trial records are kept as long as needed to handle your request and our legitimate business records. Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward if required for security or legal reasons.

You may ask us to correct or delete inquiry data we hold about you, or to close an account we created for you, by writing to info@sahmrev.com or using the contact form. We may need to retain limited information where the law requires it.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (access controls, encrypted transport where available, hashed passwords for accounts). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Our site may be hosted and accessed from more than one country. By using the site, you understand that information may be processed where our hosting and team operate.

We may update this policy. The date at the top changes when we do, and we tell account holders about important changes by email or in the app.
