Take the copper workshop off paper.
Replace paper and Excel in a copper workshop and, if yours still runs on paper or spreadsheets, stop handing metal to artisans by eye and pricing trays from memory. Every kilo is weighed when it goes out to an artisan and when it comes back, and each finished piece gets its cost.
What paper costs you each month
- Metal goes to artisans with no weight written down, so nobody can say how much came back as pieces and how much was lost.
- Trays, basins and chandeliers are priced from memory, with the metal at an old price per kilo and the decoration added by feel.
- Quotes stay at last month’s metal price, because changing it means going through every open quote by hand.
- Piece work is counted on paper at the end of the month, and then the questions start about who hammered or chased which piece.
- Pieces made for stock enter it with no cost, so their margin is a guess.
Know the cost of every piece
- Brass, red copper and nickel silver are kept by weight, each with its price per kilo. Change that price, and new quotes follow it.
- A tray template turns the diameter, the metal, the decoration and the finish into a price, and basins and chandeliers have their own templates.
- Metal goes to an artisan by weight and is weighed again when the work comes back, as finished pieces, scrap and unused metal. The loss is checked against what the step allows.
- Hammering, chasing and openwork are paid by the piece into the monthly pay. Silver plating sent out goes onto a supplier invoice draft.
- Every finished piece gets its cost from the metal used, the steps paid and the workshop time. Pieces made for stock enter it at that cost.

How you move off paper
Send your lists
Your metals, the bars or sheets in stock, your customers and your price list come in from Excel.
Get a workspace for your trade
The workspace starts with the products, units, documents and rules of your trade.
Train the team
The first session is with the people who quote, cut and deliver.
Start with one order
The next order goes through the software from the quote to the invoice.
Weigh every kilo you hand out.
The live demo is a stone workshop, where a piece is priced from its sizes and its material, the same way a tray is. Write to us about your workshop, and we tell you how your metals and price list would move in.
