Take the aluminium joinery off paper.

Replace paper and Excel in aluminium joinery and, if your shop still runs on paper or spreadsheets, stop pricing windows in a spreadsheet and cutting bars from a list written by hand. A window template gives the quote and the cut list from the same rules.

What paper costs you each month

  • Each window is calculated twice, once for the quote and once for the saw, and the desk and the workshop apply the deductions differently.
  • Bars are cut window by window, so short leftovers pile up. A leftover without a label sends the next person to a new bar.
  • Glass sizes are worked out from memory, and a wrong one means ordering the pane again.
  • Quotes are typed from a spreadsheet price list, so a new profile price means editing every line again.
  • Orders sit on a whiteboard, and you walk the floor to see which window is at cutting, assembly or glazing.

Price and cut from one template

  • A window template turns the width and the height into profiles, glass, handles, labour and a price, from your own deductions.
  • The cut list comes from the same rules, and the lengths of a whole order are planned on the bars with the saw kerf counted.
  • Leftovers long enough to keep go back to stock as numbered pieces, and the next plan uses them first.
  • Glass panes are planned on the sheets in the same way.
  • Each step, from cutting to installation, is closed on a phone. The quote, the order, the delivery note and the invoice carry the same window.

How you move off paper

  1. Send your lists

Your profiles and glass, your bars in stock, your customers and your price list come in from Excel.

  2. Get a workspace for your trade

The workspace starts with the products, units, documents and rules of your trade.

  3. Train the team

The first session is with the people who quote, cut and deliver.

  4. Start with one order

The next order goes through the software from the quote to the invoice.

Calculate each window once.
